Project UNITE is our CHIC 2018 offering opportunity supporting refugee response and a new CHIC legacy fund. Below is a letter from Tim Ciccone, ECC Director of Youth Ministry.

Dear CHIC 2018 Participants,

CHIC 2018 is just around the corner, and all of the planning, preparation, and prayer that you have put into this epic event is about to come to fruition! We are so excited to be together the week of July 15-20. As you make your final plans, we want to let you know about an exciting opportunity available this summer.

Each CHIC we focus on a mission project that we prayerfully and financially support as a community.

This summer we are focusing on the worldwide refugee crisis.
Today more people have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict and crisis than any other time on record. These are unprecedented days, and it is time for us as a church to respond. The Evangelical Covenant Church is working with partners around the world to help people who have had to flee their homes. At CHIC you will hear first-hand stories from some of these brothers and sisters who are trying to create a new life after losing everything they have ever known.

In addition, we will have the opportunity to invest in the next generation of CHIC participants.
We are creating a legacy fund to make it possible for future students participate in the full discipleship journey of CHIC. We believe that every Covenant youth should have the opportunity to attend CHIC—but the journey doesn’t stop there. We are continually creating resources to assist students in becoming disciples who make disciples before the event, while they are there, and once they return home.

We are excited to offer the CHIC family the chance to support these efforts through an offering that we are calling Project Unite. There are many ways to spend your money at CHIC—we are asking you to consider and pray how God might lead you to give to Project Unite. What an incredible moment this will be when 5,000 people all come together to support a single cause!
